Formazione continua
16 November 2023
from 16.30 to 19.00
Unlearning is a term coined by Gayatri Spivak to describe an active process of reflecting on one's learning. It is not a matter of rejecting or denying learning, but rather of reflecting critically on what one has learnt and why. Since learning usually takes place in hierarchical contexts, on which we often do not reflect, unlearning becomes increasingly important for all of us, provided we intend to adopt a posture of reflective teachers. Unlearning also means becoming aware of one's own privileges (cf. Danius/Jonsson/Spivak 1993).
The conference is held in French, with the possibility of interaction also in English and Italian. After a talk and introduction of some concepts and examples of unlearning in art education, a workshop with a poster session will be held.
