SUPSI Image Focus
Claudia is Head of Training and Development at the Migros Ticino Cooperative, for which SUPSI organized two tailor-made courses: hybrid leadership in a context of great change for the world of work and new leadership, with a focus on emotional management of change.
What motivated Migros Ticino Cooperative to choose SUPSI as a partner for the training of its employees?
We chose SUPSI because we were looking for a partner that was rooted in the territory, but at the same time offered us a wide-ranging training proposal, designed ad hoc on our specific needs and not through a pre-packaged approach. The analysis phase prior to the design was carried out in depth and we were comforted by the possibility of having a comparison with professionals who, in addition to their extensive knowledge at a theoretical level, also brought us experience gained in the field, even in environments very different from our own. The level of the narrative, the quality of the content and the possibility of its application in the company, combined with the sharing of experiences with accomplished and successful professionals, constitute an excellent mix for our target audience.
What are the advantages of collaboration between the worlds of education and business?
Undoubtedly, a collaboration between the worlds of education and business brings mutual benefits such as increased knowledge and expertise for companies and the opportunity for the world of education to experiment in the field.
Not least, this collaboration has an undoubted advantage in stimulating innovation and contributing to the development of the region.
What do you see as the prospects opening up in the medium term in the area of management and human resources, and how is SUPSI's Continuing Education Economics Area able to support local companies?
There are many challenges ahead; the transformation processes have been accelerated by the pandemic and issues related to flexible working models, definition of new leadership models also linked to the generational changes taking place, constant training of digital skills and thus also employability of the employee in a constantly changing way are necessary.
SUPSI's Continuing Education Economics Area can undoubtedly help in the experimentation and accompaniment of transformation, also by virtue of its role as an incubator of knowledge and skills and an anticipator of emerging dynamics.
What answers can SUPSI's Continuing Education Economics Area provide to the demands of the world of work?
The possibilities that SUPSI offers, both to the individual and to companies, are manifold and with different levels of depth.
Personalised training stems from a great ability to listen and interpret events. The courses are tailor-made and respond to the precise needs of the client and the expectations of the different target groups. Moreover, a fundamental aspect for us is the ability to tune in to the interlocutor.
