I am a medical and veterinary entomologist specialized in the transmission of arbovirus and their interaction with arthropod vectors (mosquitoes, biting midges), as well as vector surveillance and control. I work on investigating, implementing, and fruition of tools and methodologies to improve public and animal health worldwide. This includes research planning and execution, capacity building, knowledge transfer, and training.

I am also responsible for continuing education at the Institute of Microbiology at SUPSI.
2015: Distinguish Service Award as President of the European Society for Vector Ecology (granted by the Society for Vector Ecology).
