Teaching Italian: an ancient profession and an ever-present challenge in a rapidly changing world. How, then, to continue to give value to this mission and, at the same time, to renew it? The secret lies in giving confidence, but above all ideas and elements for reflection and action, to the teachers who are confronted with the reality of the school every day.
In this perspective, the meeting, organised by the Competence Centre for the Teaching and Learning of Italian as a Language of Schooling (DILS) and the Gruppo di Intervento e Studio nel Campo dell'Educazione Linguistica (GISCEL) Ticino, proposes a dialogue around two innovative and stimulating books (L'alfabetizzazione nella scuola dell'infanzia, edited by Lilia Andrea Teruggi and Elisa Farina, and Lettere a una maestra, by Simone Fornara), which remind us how teaching, from early childhood onwards, is an adventure that must also find the courage to make strong, breakthrough choices.
At the same time, from 3.30 p.m., in the corridors of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP) it will be possible to visit the Illustrated Book Fair set up by the students of the DFA/ASP Bachelor's degree course.
