School, nature, neighbourhood: coexistence is the result of multiple relationships that are actively interconnected. In this context, what is the role of the school? What opportunities for participation does it offer? Living together is the foundation of our society, and participation is a central element of this: it allows us to build relationships and is a fundamental aspect of our democracy. Experiencing these elements from an early age is therefore essential. A school that supports this type of approach is a school that is open to the outside world, creating synergies between the local area, the environment and the entire community, with the aim of providing pupils with concrete experiences across different generations.
The Sustainable Development Education Day, accompanied as usual by two other events, a webinar on October 14th and an activity in the local area on October 29th, explores and examines the theme in depth, while also offering some concrete examples that can be applied in schools.
Registration is open on the website https://education21.ch/it/giornata-ess/iscrizione until October 9th 2025.
