During the workshop, students had the opportunity to design a small pavilion, a microarchitecture, or a small structure within the main campus of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou that could interpret and solve some of the current challenges related to energy efficiency.
Each group chose their own site and function, as the choice of a site and function is considered an integral part of the design process. The same approach, starting from what was developed during the first week, was applied and deepened at the SUPSI Campus in Mendrisio.

Construction program, objectives:

1. Space efficiency
2. Off-grid: Conceptual suggestions for electricity generation systems, water collection and filtration systems, and waste management strategies are proposed.
3. Energy efficiency
4. Environmental responsibility

The projects must prioritize sustainability and present solutions to economic, social, and cultural challenges through new architectural methods.
