This year, around twenty future interaction designers from countries around the world will conclude their academic journey in the Master of Arts SUPSI in Interaction Design with thesis projects that reflect the growing integration of intelligent technologies into design practice. Their work showcases diverse approaches and methodologies that tackle topics such as agentic experiences, educational tools, augmented UX-AI-Interaction paradigms and ethical issues, as well as the evolving relationship between humans and the environment mediated by next-generation hardware devices.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the final thesis defenses (held in English) will take place from 8:50 to 15:00 at the SUPSI Campus in Mendrisio (Department of Environment Constructions and Design, via Flora Ruchat-Roncati 15), in the Sala polivalente (multifunctional hall) on the ground floor. Projects will be presented according to three main thematic areas: Explainable Knowledge Platforms, Augmented Services, and Embodied Hybrid Experiences.
The graduation ceremony and diploma awarding will take place from 16:00 to 16:30.
The accompanying exhibition will be open from 16:30 to 19:00, featuring thematic areas, interactive prototypes and installations. The event will conclude with an aperitif reception.
