Through its scholarships, the Leonardo Foundation wishes to support students attending a SUPSI Basic Education course (Bachelor's, Master's, Diploma) who are experiencing financial difficulties, particularly those related to the need to balance their studies with work or family commitments.
These are, for example, students who:
- are professionally active and, in order to attend university, have to reduce their working hours or give up their job;
- need to balance their studies with family and/or personal commitments, making it impossible for them to support themselves independently.
The scholarships are aimed in particular at students:
- who are residents of Ticino;
- who wish to enrol or are already enrolled in a SUPSI degree course at DACD, DEASS, DFA/ASP or DTI, of any curriculum (full-time, part-time or alongside professional activity);
- with proven financial needs.
The scholarships are renewable from year to year and are designed to support students until the end of their studies, if necessary.
The annual amount awarded varies and is determined on the basis of individual needs, up to a maximum of CHF 10,000.
