In 2025, SUPSI had a total of 6,712 students enrolled on Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, and awarded degrees to 1,378 graduates across its four departments and three affiliated schools, of whom 1,036 were from its Ticino campuses. There were over 11,600 participants in continuing education, whilst applied research developed over 400 projects, with a total budget of 57.5 million Swiss francs.
From training activities to applied research projects, the Annual Report provides an overview of the people, projects and collaborations that have helped to create value for the Canton, Switzerland and the international contexts in which SUPSI operates, and paints a picture of an institution that continues to evolve in response to changes in society and the world of work.
Among the key themes that characterised 2025 were sustainability, internationalisation, transdisciplinarity, technological innovation and skills development, addressed through initiatives that bring together education, research and collaboration with the local community. In addition to the projects presented, the statistical appendix ‘The Year in Figures’ provides an overview of the evolution of SUPSI and its mandates, through data relating to students, financial figures, staff and the institution’s international dimension.
