After an initial phase focused on theory, participants collaborated remotely during the semester, working in groups on IT projects, some of which were proposed by Ticino companies.
From May 13 to 17, the American and Egyptian students then came to visit Ticino, hosted at Virginia Tech's Steger Center in Riva San Vitale, to complete and present projects carried out with SUPSI colleagues. The meetings, which also included convivial moments, were held both in Riva San Vitale and at the East Campus in Lugano.
“This is the first collaboration with Virginia Tech, after the well-established collaboration experience with Penn State University. The experience was certainly positive and enriching, so we hope to repeat it as early as next year,” comments Prof. Sandro Pedrazzini, Head of the Bachelor in Computer Science Engineering.
