The volume stems from the desire to showcase four educational programmes developed by second-year students on the Bachelor in Pre-Primary Education, based on four works by Jean Hans Arp featured in the exhibition Arp. Viaggio in Oriente (Arp Journey to the East), held from April to early November 2023 at the Fondazione Marguerite Arp in Solduno.
The design work, which continued during the second semester seminar, was characterised by ongoing dialogue between the trainer and the students, aimed at revising and refining the educational itineraries from a training perspective. The workshop sessions provided an opportunity to discuss the projects, produce prototypes and explore the possible difficulties in working with children.
Through the museum experience and the encounter with the artist and his world, the students explored working with clay, blended paper pulp and felt, and creating collages with recycled materials, refining the aesthetic care of their work. The four itineraries presented are the result of this interesting work and can inspire teachers, both in training and working in the field, in their educational planning.
