Daniele Allegri earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) in 1998 and a PhD in Microelectronics from the University of Pavia in 2017.
He has been working at the Institute of Systems and Applied Electronics (ISEA) since 2014, initially as a Researcher and in 2019, two years after receiving his PhD, he moved to the role of Lecturer-Researcher.
In 2020, he was awarded the SUPSI CAS in Teaching and the following year was appointed Professor in Programmable and Embedded Microelectronic Systems.
Within the Institute, he served as a member of the ISEA Directorate and Head of the Science Area of Digital Electronics, Microelectronics and Bioelectronics.
Daniele Allegri will serve as Institute Director effective August 1, 2023, with a four-year term.
Prof. Allegri succeeds Prof. Andrea Salvadè, who will remain active in ISEA as Scientific Director.
