SUPSI's Department of Business Economics, Health, and Social Care (DEASS) is a partner, along with the Institutes of Public Health and Communication and Public Policy at USI and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), in organizing the 32nd edition of the Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics, and Management of the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+).
The event, which will take place August 21-26, 2023, will bring together practitioners, researchers, and university graduates from all over the world to participate in a unique learning experience focused on public health impact.
The Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics, and Management was established in 1991 with the goal of narrowing the gap between public health theory and practice. Each year, facilitators and participants from around the world come together to exchange knowledge, build networks, and share insights, all for the purpose of learning from each other for change, improving the capacity and impact of public health globally.
The 2023 edition will be held in Lugano and will feature public lectures and courses accredited by the Swiss Medical Association for active professionals in health care facilities and practices, policymakers and students.
Luca Crivelli, Director of DEASS, and Carlo De Pietro, researcher at SUPSI's Competence Centre for Healthcare Practices and Policies (CPPS), are personally active in the initiative.
