Luca Crivelli and Birgit Vosseler succeed Prof. Dr. Andreas Gerber-Grote (ZHAW) and Prof. Laurence Robatto (HES-SO), who are stepping down after six years of intensive work aimed at strengthening the focus of national education policy on the healthcare professions.
A strategic role for the future of healthcare education
The new co-presidency of FKG-CSS was unanimously elected on 12 December 2025. Among the priorities outlined by Luca Crivelli and Birgit Vosseler are the consolidation of the Conference’s position and the strengthening of dialogue with the world of professional practice, in a context marked by significant challenges for the healthcare system, including a shortage of qualified staff and the evolution of professional roles.
Particular attention will be paid to the development of interprofessional education and the promotion of new healthcare roles, such as those related to advanced clinical practice (APN/NP).
The new co-presidency will take office at a pivotal moment for the sector’s future and is preparing to tackle these challenges by fostering collaboration between the various regional and linguistic communities, with the aim of actively contributing to the shaping of healthcare training policies in Switzerland.
At the same time, from July 2026, Rahel Imobersteg will take up the role of Secretary General of the FKG-CSS, succeeding Regula Villari, who has led the secretariat since 2015, contributing to its development and to the strengthening of the association’s institutional network.
