From 21 to 23 May 2026, the city of Locarno will come alive with workshops, games, exhibitions and shows dedicated to mathematics, an event open to all schools in Ticino and the general public.
The Matematicando festival takes place over three days, two of which are dedicated to schools in Ticino at all levels (Thursday 21 and Friday 22 May) and one day is open to the general public, particularly families (Saturday 23 May).
The festival aims to promote and bring to life positive experiences of mathematics, suggest learning paths, create dialogue between teachers, pupils and families, while renewing the appeal of this discipline.
Registration for schools opens on January 28th at 6 p.m.
