Aimed at primary schools in the Locarno region, the event aims to bring pupils closer to the world of literature and theatre through the reinterpretation and staging of major texts from Italian and foreign literature.
The 2023 edition was dedicated to the trilogy "Our Ancestors" by Italo Calvino, one of the greatest intellectuals of our time, one of the most widely read authors and one of the most suggested in schools at all levels. The literary show, presented in four replicas, was aimed at pupils of 4th and 5th grade classes.
Created as part of the Lugano event PiazzaParola, since 2013 the Locarno event has been a valuable opportunity to bring great literature closer to an audience of young readers. A commitment that has been sustained over time by the work of the curators: Professor Silvia Demartini of the Competence Centre for the Teaching and Learning of Italian as a Language of Schooling of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education and the pedagogist Adolfo Tomasini.
