On 22 April 2026, at the Clinica Sant'Anna in Sorengo, the award ceremony for the "Mimi Bonetti Lepori" prize took place — a recognition for the best thesis works by nursing candidates from SUPSI and the Scuola Superiore Specializzata in Cure Infermieristiche (SSSCI). Several newly graduated SUPSI students were among the winners, a result that reflects our institution's commitment to nursing education.
The first prize was awarded to Micaela Macedonio and Mariella Francesca Trelles Cassinelli for their study entitled "Needs and perceived barriers among nurses in managing the sexuality of elderly people in nursing homes – A scoping review", carried out under the supervision of tutor Lara Barro. The award was presented by the president of the Association of Private Clinics of Ticino (ACPT), Giancarlo Dillena.
Third place, tied with a graduate student from SSSCI, went to Viola Breda and Elisa Calà Lesina (SUPSI), with the thesis "Which non-pharmacological and unconventional pharmacological therapies are useful in pain management in Parkinson's disease? A narrative literature review", supervised by tutor Michela Lazzarin.
A special prize was also awarded to Donjeta Bislimi and Ivana Dragutinovic (SUPSI) for their study "The power of context in nursing practice: preventive strategies and nocebo risk management. A literature review", with tutor Giorgio Tarabra.
The jury, chaired by ACPT president Dillena and composed of representatives from SUPSI, SSSCI, and several private clinics in Ticino, selected the winners from more than twenty finalists.
SUPSI extends its congratulations to all the newly graduated students for this important recognition.
