F. Finke - Preparing for the future with a practical approach
What do you study at the DTI and how would you describe your programme?
I am studying Computer Science Engineering. My programme can be described as challenging, technological and demanding. I have always been fascinated by the world of IT and SUPSI has given me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge and technical skills.
What is the strongpoint of your course?
The DTI offers practical and theoretical training. This is a great advantage for students, as it allows us to immediately apply what we have learnt in the classroom in practical projects. In addition, the department cooperates with major companies in the industry, allowing us to gain first-hand experience in the field and to come into contact with the working world already during our studies.
What are your goals for the future?
My main goal for the future is to expand my knowledge in the field of computer security, with a particular interest in vulnerability research and reverse engineering. I have always had a great passion for this field and I believe it is a constantly growing and developing sector, where I can put my skills and problem-solving abilities into play.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would like to tell us about?
Among the most significant experiences of my time at SUPSI was the chance to collaborate with Penn State University in the United States. Thanks to this opportunity, I worked on an innovative project and was able to collaborate with students from another continent. This experience allowed me to broaden my knowledge and gain valuable international experience that will certainly have a positive impact on my future professional career.
