Three PhD candidates from the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA USI-SUPSI), supervised by SUPSI professors and researchers, earned international recognition by winning the prestigious Student Presentation Awards at the 45th International Symposium on Forecasting (ISF), recently held in Beijing.
The awards were conferred to:
- Chiara Carrara – PhD student at the University of Pavia, visiting IDSIA USI-SUPSI under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Corani and researchers Lorenzo Zambon and Dario Azzimonti from the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI – SUPSI).
- Anubhab Biswas – PhD student at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), working at the Institute for Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment (ISAAC) of the Department for Environment, Construction and Design (DACD – SUPSI) under the supervision of researcher Lorenzo Nespoli, and at IDSIA USI-SUPSI under the supervision of Giorgio Corani (DTI – SUPSI).
- Stefano Damato – PhD student at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), working at IDSIA USI-SUPSI under the supervision of Giorgio Corani and Dario Azzimonti (DTI – SUPSI).
The ISF, organized by the International Institute of Forecasters, is one of the most important events in the field of statistical forecasting and applied artificial intelligence, bringing together experts and researchers from around the world.
