20 November 2023
to 17.30
20 November is World Day for the Rights of the Child and Adolescent. The date chosen coincides with the day on which the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, in 1959, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in 1989, the latter ratified by Switzerland on 24 February 1997.
The Competence Centre for Education, Learning and Teaching (EAI) of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP) is organising a round table discussion aimed at all interested members of the public to reflect on the importance of the convention in making children, girls and teenagers aware of the issue, but also to remind adults of the need for a universal commitment to protect the rights of children.
