Negotiations with SAGE Publishing for the Swiss Library Consortium's SAGE Read & Publish agreement for 2026–2028 began in early 2025 and have not yet resulted in a mutually acceptable agreement.

As the current agreement expires on 31 December 2025, preparations have been made for a no-deal scenario from 2026 onwards.

In this situation, SUPSI authors cannot publish new articles in Gold or Hybrid Open Access (OA) with SAGE free of charge until further notice.

The SUPSI Libraries recommend that, as of 1 January, you do not submit Open Access publication requests for this publisher.
