The new MINT series workbook offers an interdisciplinary programme dedicated to exploring sound as a natural phenomenon, a tool for communication and a means of creative expression. Through practical activities, experiments, games and guided reflections, pupils are encouraged to develop mindful listening skills, whilst gaining an understanding of the scientific principles governing the production and propagation of sound. The programme also traces the evolution of sound transmission and recording systems, from the earliest forms of long-distance communication right through to contemporary digital technologies.
By integrating scientific, technological, historical and artistic dimensions in line with a MINT approach, the workbook fosters curiosity, creativity and observational skills, providing tools to understand the central role of sound in everyday life and in the formation of memory and human relationships.
The Teaching Guide is available in digital format (as a downloadable PDF) on the page Suoni da toccare. Un percorso MINT tra gioco, ascolto e sperimentazioni sonore per giovani esploratori.
