From 1 September to 5 October 2025, the first nationwide edition of Swiss AI Weeks will take place, a widespread festival with a programme of 150 events in over ten Swiss cities. From Basel to Bern, from Geneva to Lugano, via Lausanne, Lucerne, Lenzburg and St. Gallen. The aim is to create networks to build an ethical, accessible and socially beneficial future for artificial intelligence (AI).
The exhibition is the result of contributions from developers, researchers, cultural operators, healthcare professionals and citizens, with the aim of making AI an understandable, inclusive tool geared towards the common good.
IDSIA USI-SUPSI will also be among the protagonists, with a series of events dedicated to some key areas of AI application:
- 9 September - Applications of AI in clinical medicine: benefits, challenges, potential, Lugano Regional Hospital, Civico, Aula Magna - 6 p.m.
- 13 September - Opening of the exhibition "Robot", in collaboration with the USI Ideatorio, L'Ideatorio, Cadro - 2 p.m.
- 25 September - AI in the world of finance, in collaboration with the Ticino Banking Association (ABT), Villa Negroni in Vezia - 5.30 p.m.
- 26 September - …and there will be no more problems: AI, work and the oracles of Big Tech, Bar Oops, Lugano - 4.30 p.m.
- 3 October - AI and audiovisual arts, in collaboration with USI and the Locarno Film Festival (details will soon be available on the official website).
The Swiss weeks dedicated to artificial intelligence are promoted by a broad network of private and academic partners, including the AI competence centres of the two federal institutes of technology.
