February 10th, 2026
from 9:00 to 16:30
First edition
The Symposium on modeling and engineering simulation aims at becoming an annual event for Ticino and Northern Italy targeting researchers, professionals, and technicians working in the field of numerical simulation applied to the design, analysis, and optimization in the industrial field.
The event represents an important opportunity to exchange ideas in the field of academic research and industrial applications. Based on a well-established collaboration between the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Technology (MEMTi) of SUPSI and SAECON, a consulting company specialized in the development of innovative solutions for the industrial sector, the Symposium stands out for its synergy between advanced research and sustainable industrial solutions, responding to the challenges of modern industry.
The main focus will be on applied numerical modeling and Computer Aided Engineering (FEM, CFD, HFSS, etc.), with the aim of exploring the potential of simulation and advanced computing methods for the analysis of relevant case studies taken from research and industry.
Choosing Lugano underscores the city’s strategic position as a gateway between Ticino and Northern Italy, enabling stronger collaboration across technology and industry.
