Since 1970, June has been recognised as Pride Month: an important opportunity to reflect on the level of inclusion and recognition of the LGBTIQA+ community in society. To mark the occasion, we collected the testimonies of students who chose to explore these topics in their final theses, approaching them from different perspectives.
This project has given rise to a series of short videos that will be published throughout June on SUPSI’s channels, offering valuable insights and starting points for further discussion.
The initiative aligns with the objectives of the first National Action Plan to combat hate crime against LGBTIQ Persons 2026–2030, adopted by the Swiss Federal Council on 28 January 2026 and coordinated by the Federal Office for Gender Equality (FOGE). Structured around three fields of action, the Action Plan aims to support and protect LGBTIQA+ people, while also preventing and monitoring all forms of discrimination and violence directed against them.
