November 6th, 2024
from 12.00 to 14.00
The talk will present the results of a study conducted by the Department of Health and Human Rights at Harvard University that evaluated the effectiveness of the method developed by the Child in Need Institute (CINI) to address in a preventive and holistic way the rights issues of girls and boys in deprived contexts in India, through strengthening community networks and developing active citizenship.
The meeting will focus particularly on the implications of the method at the educational level, and the tools that can be enhanced in our school contexts in order to strengthen participation and democracy.
After an introduction to the context and Theory of Change underlying the CINI method, the discussion will focus on the application of concepts and tools to a concrete case, related to countering the consequences of climate change and building resilient communities, in order to stimulate discussion on the transferability of the model.
