On the sidelines of the graduation ceremonies concluded in early December, Daniela Willi-Piezzi, Director of SUPSI Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, said, “We are very pleased to be able to award such a large number of diplomas. In addition to the pride associated with the success of each student and student, whom we have seen grow both professionally and personally over the past few years, there is also a sense of pride in the concrete contribution that, through our education, we are able to make to numerous business sectors in our area that are looking for qualified personnel. The hope is that our graduates will continue to train as professionals as well, and that they will maintain the curiosity necessary to embrace and face future changes and professional challenges.”
The 1,256 graduates are divided into 45 study tracks delivered by the four Departments and three affiliated Schools:
Department of Environment Constructions and Design (DACD):
- 117 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Architettura, Architettura d’interni, Comunicazione visiva, Conservazione, Ingegneria civile.
- 18 graduates in the Master's degrees in Conservation-Restoration, Interaction Design.
Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care (DEASS):
- 335 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Cure infermieristiche, Ergoterapia, Fisioterapia, Economia aziendale, Lavoro sociale, Leisure Management, Physiotherapie.
- 34 graduates in the Master's degrees in Business Administration, Cure infermieristiche.
Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP):
- 80 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Insegnamento per il livello elementare – anni scolatici 1 e 2, Insegnamento per il livello elementare – anni scolastici 3 e 7.
- 72 graduates in the Master's degrees in Didattica dell’italiano, Insegnamento del tedesco per il livello secondario I, Insegnamento dell’educazione musicale per il livello secondario I, Insegnamento per il livello secondario I, Pedagogia specializzata e didattica inclusiva.
- 38 Diplomas in Insegnamento per le scuole di maturità.
Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI):
- 126 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Ingegneria elettronica, Ingegneria gestionale, Ingegneria informatica, Ingegneria meccanica.
- 58 graduates in the Master's degrees in Engineering (MSE).
Accademia Teatro Dimitri (ATD):
- 13 graduates in the Bachelor's degree in Teatro.
- 8 graduates in the Master's degree in Theatre.
Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana – University of Music (CSI-MHS):
- 17 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Music, Music and Movement.
- 61 graduates in the Master's degrees in Music Composition and Theory, Music Pedagogy, Music Performance, Specialized Music Performance.
Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS):
- 237 graduates in the Bachelor's degrees in Betriebsökonomie, Ernährung und Diätetik, Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen,
- 42 graduates in the Master's degrees in Business Administration, Wirtschaftsinformatik.
As part of the degree awarding ceremonies, the TalenThesis Prize was also awarded, dedicated to Bachelor graduates from each degree program who have distinguished themselves for the excellent result obtained in their final thesis work. Supported by local entities and associations, the Prize aims to encourage and support young graduates and represents the close link between SUPSI and the territory, acting as an interface with the many professional realities that welcome new graduates at the end of their studies.
