The Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care (DEASS) at SUPSI invites submissions for the interdisciplinary workshop “Oikonomia – Relationships, Care, and the Economy”, which will be held on Monday, 12 January 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Stabile Piazzetta in Manno.
The workshop, offered in English, aims to explore the intersections between care practices, social relationships, demographic dynamics, and economic life, fostering dialogue across economics, demography, sociology, philosophy, psychology, political science, anthropology, and allied fields.

One of the two keynotes will be given by Laurie Corna, a researcher at the SUPSI Competence Centre on Ageing, and will focus on the topic ‘Understanding the intersection of informal caregiving for older people and paid employment among later-career adults in Switzerland: a gendered, life course perspective’.
