Who is this CAS aimed at and why choose to attend it? We asked Spartaco Greppi, professor and researcher, co-chair of the program.
Spartaco, why do you recommend attending this CAS?
"Because anyone who manages people, as a human resources manager, or holds management positions must know how to navigate an increasingly complex regulatory and social security environment. The CAS in social insurance provides tools to:
- deal professionally with sensitive situations, such as illness, injury, disability, maternity, unemployment, pre-retirement and retirement;
- limit legal and economic risks for the company;
- offer specialized and tailored advice to employees and management;
- optimize costs by finding effective solutions for the company and employees;
- help build a corporate culture attentive to social responsibility."
How to respond to those who are intimidated by the technical nature of this program?
"It is only partly technical training. It is first and foremost a strategic investment in managerial skills. It offers an undoubted advantage, to avoid mistakes in insurance planning, to identify the most efficient variants, avoiding over- or under-insurance, to know the best negotiating terms through direct expert-to-expert comparison.
It does not require actuarial skills, but curiosity and interest in insurance mechanisms. The lectures, delivered in a university setting by recognized specialists and established professionals, offer a clear picture of a complex, sometimes complicated, but flexible sector, which is also useful on the tried-and-true level for conscious choices to protect one's security in the private sphere."
