Retracing the history of Radiotelescuola means examining the intertwining of technological innovation, institutional choices and teaching practices. Radio and television broadcasting thus became a long-term field of experimentation, in which radio and television played a decisive role in expanding access to education and transforming teaching and learning methods.
The volume is divided into three sections. The first, Stories, offers a reconstruction of the main stages of the Radiotelescuola experience, including from a comparative perspective. The second, Memories, collects testimonies from key figures, offering an inside look at the practices and transformations that characterised this experience. The third, Traces, is dedicated to documentary, visual and audio sources, highlighting their value for historical research and the preservation of educational memory.
Taken together, the contributions convey the complexity of an experience that was significant for the history of education and offer useful interpretative tools for understanding the relationship between school, media and society.
The volume is available in digital format at La Radiotelescuola (in Italian).
