An estimated 500,000 people in Switzerland are affected by diabetes. Worldwide, there are approximately 425,000 million diabetics. According to estimates by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), this number is set to rise to 783 million in 2045, taking into account that it takes an average of seven years to diagnose diabetes. It is also estimated that about one third of people with diabetes are unaware of it.
Nurses are at the forefront in dealing with this metabolic disease that requires a systemic and multi-therapeutic approach, where the caregiver-patient relationship through a differentiated approach is essential for effective care.
The CAS in Diabetology is designed by activating an essentially interactive teaching and active practice, so that the outgoing participant is provided with a palette of tools adaptable to various needs and situations.
Training period
29 August 2024 - 15 March 2025
Classes are generally held on Thursdays and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 12.20 p.m. and from 1.20 p.m. to 4.40 p.m.
