We look forward to seeing you on Friday 23 February for your first experience at our Mendrisio campus: we will be happy to answer all your questions.

Welcome!

The Open Day is just for you, to introduce you to the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses of the Department of Environment Constructions and Design at SUPSI Mendrisio.

You will have the chance to meet lecturers and students, attend presentations of one or two Bachelor/Master courses of your choice and participate in our workshops to better understand what you like to do.

We will introduce you:


In half a day you will learn more about our Bachelor's and Master's programmes.

If you would like a lunch box, please let us know on the registration form. We will provide you with one for free.
You will also receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the OpenDay.

The OpenDay is essentially held in Italian, except for the presentations and workshops of the Master Interaction Design.

Progetteremo una planimetria composta da una serie di vani con dimensioni e rapporti definiti geometricamente. Poi costruiremo un volume partendo da elementi semplici di dimensioni date.

Come si progetta l’atmosfera di uno spazio interno? Grazie a un modello in scala 1:10 sperimenteremo diverse combinazioni di colori, materiali e immagini per trovare quelle che meglio caratterizzano lo spazio e chi lo vive.

Dopo un’introduzione interattiva sul tema della realtà aumentata e del suo grande successo nel campo della comunicazione visiva, con alcuni iPad e grazie all’applicazione TinkerCad impareremo a progettare elaborati tridimensionali, poi li proietteremo in realtà aumentata sui banchi, sul pavimento, sui muri… ovunque vorremo.

Ti accompagneremo in un percorso di indagine su opere storiche che ti permetterà di acquisire le informazioni necessarie per impostare un intervento di restauro. Sperimenteremo osservazioni con diversi tipi di illuminazione, l’uso di microscopi e di strumentazioni scientifiche non invasive per caratterizzare i materiali e per ottenere informazioni sul loro stato di conservazione.

Insieme vedremo i lavori in corso nell’atelier di Conservazione e restauro su dipinti murali, stucchi e opere in pietra naturale. Il lavoro delle nostre studentesse e dei nostri studenti, rivolto alla conservazione delle superfici decorate dell’architettura, viene svolto principalmente in cantiere, ma nel nostro atelier potrai osservare alcuni momenti fondamentali del loro percorso didattico e della loro formazione pratica, fra cui la messa a punto delle tecniche di intervento e l’intervento su alcune opere mobili.

Entra nel coinvolgente mondo dell’ingegneria civile e metti alla prova la tua creatività. Immagina di costruire mini edifici in muratura e acciaio usando la tua fantasia e le ultime tecnologie sperimentali. Metteremo alla prova e testeremo i tuoi modelli con un terremoto simulato, grazie a tecnologie all’avanguardia nel campo della ricerca.

The workshop introduces the fundamentals of interaction and offers the opportunity to experiment with LED matrices. Through the exploration of various sensors and actuators, including ultrasonic distance sensors, switches and potentiometers, participants will be able to experience electronics and physical computing first-hand and gain insights into the creative possibilities of interaction design. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Digital Fabrication Laboratory and have a first contact with the facility and equipment serving the Master’s programme.
