The event, which has been held in Locarno every year since 2013, aims to create a magical space where young readers can meet, discover new worlds and experience other lives through the words of great authors. Literature is a journey without boundaries, allowing us to explore different cultures, emotions and perspectives. In an age where technology often seems to dominate uncritically, it represents a refuge for the mind.
Now in its eleventh edition, the festival paid tribute to the work “One Thousand and One Nights – Arabian Tales”, combining staged readings and music performed by professionals, coordinated by Silvia Demartini, professor of Linguistic Education and Sectoral Languages of Italian at the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education, and Adolfo Tomasini, educationalist.
In the collection Tutte le storie di PiazzaParola, you can consult all the texts read during the various editions (from 2013 to 2025), with a brief introductory note on the work and the author.
