On Tuesday, 9 December, at 6:15 p.m. at the Banca Stato Auditorium in Bellinzona, the event "Ribaltare le narrazioni: the role of the media in promoting equality" will take place at 6:15 p.m. at the Banca Stato Auditorium in Bellinzona. The event will address how the narratives and language used by the public media can influence the collective perception of equal opportunities and what strategies can make equality a reality in the media landscape.
The programme includes a presentation by Prof. Claudia Vaccarone, media and gender expert and Inclusion Strategy Advisor, as well as presentations by Marcella Gantenbein, RSI diversity and inclusion representative and RSI personnel development specialist, and Alessandro Marcionni, head of RSI's fiction and documentary department and member of the RSI Diversity and Inclusion Group. Sara Galeazzi, RSI editor, will moderate.
During the event, the 2025 Ermiza Award will be presented. This competition aims to reward contributions that promote greater attention to gender issues and equal opportunities in radio and television newsrooms and web portals in Italian-speaking Switzerland. From this year, it is also open to articles published in both print and online newspapers.
