The work that led to the update of the Collective Labor Agreement for Administrative Staff was the result of an intense and fruitful dialogue that lasted more than two years between the Personnel Commission, which gathered its suggestions and made a synthesis, the SIT, OCST and VPOD unions, Management and the SUPSI Council.
The new CLA includes the introduction of some improvements over the current text, including:
- increased slopes in salary curves for employees in bands 2,3 and 4 up to age 45, with improved salary conditions for young employees;
- 5 days of leave for the other parent in addition to the two weeks provided at the birth of a child;
- the anchoring in the CLA Regulations of the loyalty bonus principle, as well as the recognition of a one-week, one-time leave every 5 years from 10 years of service;
The changes are an important step in the continued development of the CLA and are consistent with what has also been defined in terms of priorities by the staff subject to it. Other aspects that emerged during the discussions between the parties will be further explored in the next four-year period, with the aim of providing conditions that are up to date with the needs of the staff and compatible with the principles of financial sustainability.
There are 246 administrative employees subject to the CLA, corresponding to 18.5 percent of all SUPSI staff.
The new Collective Labor Agreement for administrative staff will be valid until the end of the performance contract between Canton Ticino and SUPSI 2025-2028, covering the period January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2028.
