On Wednesday 11 October, at the SUPSI Campus in Mendrisio (Department of Environment, Constructions and Design), a seminar was held by Professor Roberto Leon from Virginia Tech on the subject of Forensic Engineering Lessons from the Linea 12 Mexico City and Fern Hollow Bridge Collapse.
Held as part of the internship activities of civil engineering students at Virginia Tech, the meeting provided an opportunity to bring together American students with SUPSI civil engineering students (both Bachelor and Master).
During the 2023-2024 autumn semester, Virginia Tech students will spend one day a week at the SUPSI laboratories in Mendrisio.
This is a collaboration with the Steger Center for International Scholarship at Virginia Tech in Riva San Vitale that strengthens the internationality of the Department of Environment Constructions and Design and further contributes to the creation of the building pole in the Mendrisio area.
