The Institute

The Institute of Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment (ISAAC), part of the Department of Environment Constructions and Design, actively promotes the energy transition toward a zero-emissions society through an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach. Key areas of focus include photovoltaic characterization and reliability, building-integrated solar solutions, intelligent renewable energy management within the grid, and the enhancement and maintenance of building energy efficiency. The Institute engages in applied research, provides specialized services, and contributes to both Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, and Continuing Education.
