Formazione Francesco Frontini si è laureato in Ingegneria Edile-Architettura presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 2005. Nel 2008 ottiene il Dottorato di ricerca "cum Laude" in Sistemi e Processi Edilizi presentando lo sviluppo di una nuova facciata trasparente fotovoltaica e multifunzionale sviluppata in collaborazione con il Fraunhofer ISE di Freiburg i.Br.
Esperienze professionali Professore SUPSI, e' responsabile del settore Sistema Edificio e del Centro di Competenza Svizzero sul BIPV. Ha collaborato con studi di Ingegneria ed Architettura. È specializzato in progettazione sostenibile ed ottimizzazione di sistemi di schermatura solare ed di daylighting. Dal 2007 al 2011 ha lavorato come ricercatore nel gruppo "Solar Facades" presso il Fraunhofer ISE dove ha acquisito esperienza nelle simulazioni energetiche ed illuminotecniche degli edifici e nel campo del Fotovoltaico. Alla SUPSI ha coperto il ruolo di responsabile area Fotovoltaica. E' membro CENELEC.
