The Institute of Systems and Technologies for Sustainable Production (ISTePS) has been established in the beginning of 2013, integrating the previously existing labs of Automation Systems & Technologies and of Sustainable Production Systems.

Automation Robotics and Machines Laboratory (ARM-Lab)

The Lab designs and develops robotic based automated production systems and reconfigurable industrial robots, as also systems and industrial technologies for Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing. Other activities include path and process planning, control applications design, and the development of industrial automation solutions integrating 2D/3D artificial vision systems for image acquisition and processing.

Sustainable Production Systems Laboratory (SPS-Lab)

The activities of the Laboratory are dedicated to research and education activities aimed at the development and use of methods and tools for the design, analysis and management of products, processes and production system.
