The dimensions of possible analysis and intervention are those typical of highly regulated sectors or those with a strong presence of public actors. In this sense, the institutional set-up, with regulations related to financing, quality, and inter-institutional relationships and collaborations, assumes particular relevance. Similarly, in sector institutions a central role is played by human resources, which are also subject to strong professional regulation. In addition to these specific areas of analysis, CPPS is also active in the other business functions applied to healthcare institutions: strategic planning, organizational design and development, programming and control, financial accounting, etc.

All such analyses can be carried out with reference either to an individual institution or to an inter-institutional network.
