The Foreign Languages Area contributes to the development of the linguistic, communicative and intercultural skills of SUPSI members, from students to staff.

- provide students with the tools that will help them best meet both academic and work-related training requirements
- promote language and communication skills as central transversal resources for any training and/or discipline
- support the ongoing development of the professional skills of teachers working in the area
- encourage initial and continuing language training for all SUPSI members
- participate in research projects in the field of language didactics
