Eng. Luca Diviani obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering in Fribourg in 1995 and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from SUPSI in 2011. He began his professional career in 1996 at the then ICIMSI, now integrated into SUPSI as the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Technology (MEMTi).
As Head of the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, he has led research projects in collaboration with local, Swiss, and European companies. In parallel with his applied research activity, Eng. Luca Diviani has been involved in teaching activities for the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering for several years. He is responsible for the modules in Mechanics, Plastics Technology, Railway Technology, and Structural Mechanics. Eng. Luca Diviani is also a member of the Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering committee and Head of the MSE profile in Mechanical Engineering for SUPSI. Since 2020, he has also been an expert for the COIE, the Advisory Committee for Economic Innovation of the Canton of Ticino.
Eng. Luca Diviani will take up his role as Head of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering as of 1 September 2024, with a four-year term of office. The Direction of the Department of Innovative Technologies congratulates Engineer Luca Diviani on his appointment and extends its best wishes him a future filled with professional success in his new role.
