SUPSI expresses its full solidarity with scientific, academic and student communities at risk. Guided by our values of integrity, collaboration and responsibility, we recognise the importance of welcoming and supporting individuals who have experienced danger or displacement.
Our academic institution values diversity and promotes the personal and academic development of every individual. We acknowledge the presence in Switzerland of highly qualified refugees with an academic background and the motivation to continue their studies or professional careers, who nevertheless face significant barriers.
The following information applies to individuals with recognised refugee status B, provisional admission F, persons in need of protection S, and asylum seekers N, in accordance with the Regulations for admission and matriculation in Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes.

The most suitable pathway depends on previous qualifications, language proficiency and academic or professional objectives. Below is an overview of the available options.
Applicants wishing to enrol in a SUPSI Bachelor’s or Master’s programme must meet the admission requirements of the chosen programme (for details on requirements, procedures and fees, please consult the relevant programme webpage).
Applicants who meet the admission requirements may proceed with the application for admission, which must be submitted online. Please consult the Student Portal registration guide to start the application process.
Tuition fees and course-related costs also apply to refugee students. However, after admission, it is possible to contact the Administrative Management and Development of Basic Education Service (GeAS) for information on available financial support options.
If support is needed during the application process, applicants may contact the support desk for assistance.

Applicants wishing to enrol in a SUPSI Bachelor’s or Master’s programme who do not yet meet the admission requirements of the chosen programme (for details on requirements, procedures and fees, please consult the relevant programme webpage) may complete the application form to receive personalised support.
By completing the form below, the applicant’s profile will be assessed to evaluate possible admission to the desired programme through a preparatory programme. Additionally, access to Italian language courses may be offered when required as a preparatory step for admission.

Applicants with tertiary education or professional experience who wish to update or expand their skills may apply for Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS), Master of Advanced Studies (MAS/EMBA), or enrol in short Advanced Training modules.

Through its counselling helpdesk and psychological help, SUPSI remains available to all students and staff experiencing distressing situations and in need of particular support. Our Listening Service provides a welcoming and confidential environment where individuals can express their concerns, engage with qualified professionals, and receive the necessary support to address personal and academic challenges they may encounter along their university journey.
