The event opened with institutional greetings from the DTI Director, Prof. Milena Properzi, and the Head of the Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Andrea Graf, who welcomed the new freshmen by highlighting the importance of their choice and the opportunities awaiting the future professionals of innovation.

The students were then greeted by the Heads of their respective degree programs – Prof. Alessandro Facchini and Dr. Matteo Casserini (Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), Eng. Gianluca Montù (Electronic Engineering), Prof. Paolo Pedrazzoli (Engineering and Management), Prof. Sandro Pedrazzini (Computer Science Engineering), and Eng. Luca Diviani (Mechanical Engineering). Each presented the distinctive features and perspectives of their academic path, offering freshmen a first glimpse into the journey they are about to embark on.

The day concluded with an informal information session designed to introduce the main services available to the student community: International Office, Gender & Diversity, counseling services, the student association, tutoring, and other opportunities such as the Startup Garage, a dedicated space to foster creativity, project development, and entrepreneurial spirit. This was a valuable opportunity to begin exploring the academic environment and the community of both DTI and SUPSI.
