Registration is now open for the Open Day of the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP), a valuable opportunity to learn more about the educational opportunities available in the field of teaching, meet teachers and students, and experience the atmosphere of our school.

The Open Day is back, the annual event organised by the DFA/ASP and aimed at anyone interested in training to become a teacher at various school levels.

The day will offer a detailed overview of the various courses of study on offer.

 

What's new in the 2026 edition

Open Day 2026 offers something new: during the morning, interactive workshops will be held, providing an opportunity to explore some of the subjects offered in the Bachelor's degree programmes and take advantage of a special opportunity to talk to lecturers and students. For details, please refer to the Interactive Workshops section.

There will also be several desks available for questions, suggestions and information:

The Bachelor's degree in Pre-Primary Education and Bachelor's degree in Primary Education prepare students to become teachers of children aged 3 to 5 (pre-primary education) and children aged 6 to 10 (primary education) respectively.

Presentation time: 1:30–2:30 p.m., Aula Magna

The Master in Secondary Education, with or without remedial German, and the Master in Secondary Education, German (Foreign Language), intended exclusively for primary school teachers, prepare students to take on the role of German teacher in lower secondary school (middle school) to teach pupils aged 11 to 15.

The Master in Specialised Pedagogy and Inclusive Didactics prepares students to take on the role of teacher of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in small, inclusive or regular classes.

Presentation time: 2:45–4:00 p.m., Aula Magna

The Master in Secondary Education prepares students to take on the role of teacher in one or two subjects in lower secondary school (middle school) for pupils aged 11 to 15.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, enrolment is open for the following subjects: Mathematics, French (foreign language), German (foreign language), Physical Education, History of Religions and Latin.

This workshop will demonstrate how technology can make teaching more dynamic and engaging, promoting the development of digital, cross-curricular and subject-specific skills. A number of projects, teaching activities and materials available to students will be presented, such as materials for podcasts, stop-motion animation and educational robotics. A number of projects and collaborations linked to the local area will also be illustrated.

A journey of exploration and discovery through interactive stations featuring activities and games for nursery and primary school children. Through mathematical taboo, charades and pictionary, geometric dobble, mathematical crossword puzzles and rebuses, and much more, mathematics is presented as a concrete, inclusive and fun subject.

Musical activities contribute to establishing good relationships within nursery and primary school classes and are part of the content covered in music courses within the Bachelor's degree programme. They create strong interpersonal bonds, strengthening attention, listening and collaboration skills. In the workshop, participants will be able to try out some fun activities in the different areas of music education: rhythm, listening, singing and sound production.

The activity is based on portraits or self-portraits of artists. Each face, rendered in the expressive form of the artistic style, is correctly matched with a photographic portrait. Each work corresponds to a single photograph. Finally, participants place the pair of images they have selected on a timeline.
