The audit confirmed that the Bachelor's degree complies with all 10 quality standards. In their evaluation report, the experts highlighted, in particular, the combination of theory and practice, which allows for the constant observation of new trends in the leisure world. Other positive aspects that emerged include the excellent interaction between students and teachers, which creates a strong sense of belonging to a community, the use of new technologies, the integration of sustainability into management activities, and the competence and teaching skills of the teaching staff.
With a view to continuous improvement and to guide the future development of the Bachelor's program, the procedure identified interesting areas for development, such as strengthening international collaborations through internships, mobility, and agreements with other universities, more targeted promotion of research, and greater involvement of alumni.
The external expert committee that assessed the Bachelor's program's compliance with the standards was composed of:
- Claudio Sfreddo, Adjunct Professor at the EHL Hospitality Business School (formerly École hôtelière de Lausanne) – Co-Chair of the Commission;
- Lorenzo Cantoni, Full Professor at the University of Italian Switzerland (USI), Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society – Co-Chair of the Commission;
- Stefano Dal Borgo, Event Manager and F&B, Locarno Film Festival;
- Francesca Zanetti, Human Resources Director, Hockey Club Ambrì Piotta.
The process is an integral part of the SUPSI Quality Assurance System and involves gathering opinions and actively engaging students, graduates, faculty, employers, technical and administrative staff, key service representatives, and institutional management representatives.
We congratulate the Steering Committee, the Bachelor's program coordinators, and everyone who contributed to achieving this important milestone!
