Sustainability
What motivates us to take action to address the major social and environmental challenges ahead? What role does school play in this context to find effective and supportive answers? Is it enough to provide knowledge?
This year's éducation21 appointments on Education for Sustainable Development (ESS) will address those aspects of teaching that enable people to identify, clarify and reflect on different ways of thinking, their own and collective values, and consequently, attitudes and actions.
As in the past, this edition will take place over three dates:
- Monday 16 October, an introductory webinar entitled The role of 'values' in creating a sustainable society;
- Saturday 21 October, the classic ESS Day with insights on "The values of development. The SSE from knowledge to responsibility" and various workshops and insights on the topic;
- two hands-on activities on Wednesday 25 October, discovering the territory by working on "values".
