Simone and Jacopo met during their university studies and are now in the third and final year of the Bachelor of Arts SUPSI in Visual Communication. They are friends and business partners. Simone previously practiced rowing, while Jacopo is dedicated to athletics. Together, they have transformed their passion for sport – and what they are learning in their degree program – into a project called REFLECTION, thanks also to the support of Startup Garage: a podcast, but also a true narrative space where individual experiences intertwine in a collective story.
REFLECTION gives voice to stories from the world of sport, to young athletes, their dreams, their journeys, and the efforts they face in growth, resilience, and enthusiasm.
At House of Switzerland Italia 2026, Simone and Jacopo will present the talk in Italian “Diventare atleta. Dentro il viaggio dei prossimi campioni” (“Becoming an athlete. Inside the journey of the next champions”) with young athletes practicing winter sports who aspire to compete in the 2030 Olympic Games. It will be an opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes aspects of their sporting and personal lives, how the spark for their disciplines was born, and where they see themselves in the future.
The talk will take place on Wednesday, February 18 from 18:00 to 19:00 in the Salone delle Alpi (Centro Svizzero, via Palestro 2/4, Milan) and is part of the extensive program promoted by the Swiss platform (House of Switzerland Italia 2026). The event is open to all visitors of the House of Switzerland as well as anyone interested; admission is free.
REFLECTION
So far, Simone and Jacopo have produced two podcast’s formats as part of REFLECTION: NEXTG, dedicated to emerging athletes (a space for young people building their careers, where their journeys, challenges, and dreams that drive them to grow are shared, often stories far from the spotlight but rich in values); and IL SALOTTO, a format devoted to the great stories of sport with champions and professionals from various fields, including coaches, to share experiences, values, and behind-the-scenes insights.
All episodes of NEXTG and IL SALOTTO have been created by Simone and Jacopo: from initial contact and organization to interviews, graphics, backdrops, and editing.
