The Centre's mission is to contribute to the improvement of education systems and the dissemination of knowledge by involving all stakeholders in the system, from pupils and teachers at all school levels to educational authorities and policy makers.

CH-I Standardised tests in education: a comparison between Switzerland and Italy
The Centre is also actively involved, providing courses in the various disciplines, on the topics of democratic schooling, positive education, adolescent psychology and psychological capital.
As part of Continuing Education, courses are also offered related to ongoing research projects such as: highly sensitive children at school, character strengths, democracy at school, and psychological capital.
It is active with contributions and collaborations on numerous topics, including:

Well-being in education systems
Collaboration with Queen Mary University of London and the Università degli Studi "Gabriele d'Annunzio" for research on the topic of sensitivity at school and with the University of British Columbia di Vancouver for monitoring the well-being of adolescents.

Collaboration with the Università della Svizzera italiana and Planpolitik as part of the international project Toolkit for education to a dynamic citizenship.

Collaboration with the Service de la recherche en éducation in Geneva on multilevel analyses.
