In all its actions, SUPSI guarantees an inclusive study and working environment that is accessible and respectful of all differences, in order to offer a high-quality university education to all.
To this effect, SUPSI commits itself:
With the SEN-SI Special Educational Needs USI-SUPSI project, SUPSI and USI intend to monitor, develop and/or implement the necessary compensatory or accessibility measures in support of male and female students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and high quality university education.
- To promoting a culture of diversity by raising awareness and enhancing the skills of the entire SUPSI community on issues related to gender differences, but also interconnected with social differences linked to age, culture, sexual orientation, situations of ability/disability, etc., by means of intra- and inter-departmental training and communication activities on these issues in synergy with its centres of competence, the network in the area and with cantonal and national bodies and associations.
- Developing inclusive quality measures aimed at staff and student body at all stages of their educational and professional (cycle) journey;
- Further expanding measures for students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (e.g. dyslexia and dyscalculia) in relation to admissions, certification, curricular differentiation or other forms of support in their studies (teaching aids, differentiation of classroom teaching, definition and recognition of specific measures) in cooperation with the Bachelor/Master's degree and teaching staff and in synergy with other Swiss universities.
